Jaguar Building Services Ltd secure a prestigious RoSPA Award

Jaguar Building Services Ltd is a winner at the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2017.

We are delighted to have achieved the Silver award in the prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Our Directors Paul Roberts and Steve Jackaman, along with members of our Health and Safety team, will be attending the 61st annual honours ceremony at the ExCeL, London on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, where Jamie McDonald our Health and Safety Manager will be presented with this award. This has been achieved during a special year for family-safety charity RoSPA, as it celebrates its centenary.

Through the RoSPA Awards scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Health and Safety Manager Jamie McDonald stated,
“I am pleased to receive this award on behalf of Jaguar Building Services and proud to work for an organisation who provides the autonomy for us to consistently demonstrate a ‘can do’ approach towards health and safety management. This award is a milestone, and the start of an increased focus on improving safety culture within our business. My thanks are extended to all Jaguar site teams and staff, whilst we put in place the policies, procedures and controls needed to achieve the best possible working conditions, it’s the staff who not only “follow the rules” but pro – actively work with my team, ensuring the already very high Health and Safety standards are maintained and improved.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said:
“The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat. This is a special year in the history of RoSPA, and we congratulate all of our winners in this, our centenary year.”
