It's Day 4 of National Apprentices Week!
13 Feb 2025
An important aspect of the Electrical Engineering apprenticeship is classroom-based learning, which is essential for understanding the practical skills our Apprentices develop on-site.
Our Apprentices attend New City College in Hackney once a week throughout the first three years of their course to study for and take their exams. In their final year, they visit the college once a month to ensure their portfolios are up to date.
We have partnered with New City College since 2021, and our Apprentices have received excellent support throughout their studies. The college has been very attentive to our training needs and is always available to assist our Apprentices in achieving their City & Guilds accredited qualifications.
Macy Jordan, our third-year Apprentice, took the time to share her college journey and how it is supporting her work on-site. Macy said:
“My time at New City College has flown by. I’m already halfway through my third year and completing my portfolio. The exams have been challenging, but are very rewarding when passed. In class we practised a lot of past papers to help us prepare for exams. My college journey has helped me grow, gaining valuable skills and knowledge that I can apply whilst working on site.”
Thank you Macy, we look forward to following your journey!
