Suicide Prevention Day 2024

Working together to prevent suicide

The theme for World Suicide Prevention Day this year is ‘Changing the Narrative on Suicide’ with the call to action ‘Start the Conversation.’

At Jaguar, we believe it is crucial to prioritise mental health, and we are committed to supporting mental health in the workplace and beyond.

In previous years, to mark this day, we have shared our people’s stories, provided resources, sent out helpful documents and much more. However, this year, we are offering all employees the opportunity to complete the ‘Understanding Suicide Intervention’ training course.

The course is organised through the National Centre for Suicide Prevention Training and will be going ahead next month.

Alongside this, we are continuing to add to our Mental Health First Aiders, and we are proud to have 16 Jaguar members who are trained to offer practical advice on recognising warning signs and providing support.

Suicide is a devastating issue that affects so many of us. The more we talk about it and understand it, the more we can work towards preventing it.
